Dr. Yvette Stokes DDS

Dr. Stokes began her practice of dentistry when she joined Dr. Caldwell in Fayetteville in 1994. She majored in zoology at North Carolina State University and received her DDS degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. She later attended the University of Maryland where she completed a residency program and received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Stokes and her husband, Stephen, have four children.

Dr. Stokes is active in various community and charitable organizations including serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Friends of Children of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and serving as a Board of Trustees member to the Southern Regional Area Health Education Center. She is also on staff at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and is a member of the National Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Old North State Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Phil Caldwell DDS

Originally from central Ohio, Dr. Caldwell received his BA degree from Miami University, his DDS degree from Ohio State University, and his MS degree from the UNC School of Dentistry. He opened his practice in Fayetteville in 1975 and became associated with Dr. Stokes in 1994.

Dr. Caldwell, and his wife, Sally, have three children and two grandchildren. He is an active volunteer at the Care Clinic and at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, where he sings in the choir and participates in mission trips to the Philippines, Honduras, Mexico and Haiti. He enjoys ocean fishing, gardening and "spoiling" his grandchildren.

Dr. Caldwell serves as an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at UNC Chapel Hill. He is on staff at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Lisa: Billing and Insurance Coordinator

Lisa graduated from Kenwood High School in Baltimore, Maryland and was a student at Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC. She has 11 years of experience in her field and has been with Highland Pediatric for 7 years. Lisa enjoys interacting with the patients and their parents and spending time with her family and friends outside of work.

Tameka: Certified Dental Assistant/Clinical Coordinator

Tameka graduated from Douglas Byrd High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC, where she earned her certificate in Dental Assisting. She has worked with Highland Pediatric for 12 years. Tameka appreciates the openness and honesty of children and enjoys reading, shopping, and spending time with her friends and family.

Rita: Certified Dental Assistant

Rita graduated from E.E. Smith High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC, where she earned her Medication Aide Certificate and her degree as a dental assistant. She has worked with Highland Pediatric for 1 year. Rita likes working in a kid-friendly environment and enjoys photography, scrapbooking, and spending time with her children and family.

Ramona: Certified Dental Assistant/Hospital Coordinator

Ramona attended Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC, where she studied radiology and earned her certificate in Dental Assisting. She has 26 years of experience as a dental assistant and has worked with Highland Pediatric for 21 years. She enjoys talking and laughing with the patients at Highland Pediatric. Ramona spends her spare time baking, taking pictures, helping others, and spending time with her family.

Susan: Dental Hygienist

Susan graduated from South View High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC, where she earned her degree in Applied Science, North Carolina Dental Hygiene License, and National Dental Hygiene Board Certification. She has worked with Highland Pediatric for 34 years and has enjoyed watching the patients grow up. Susan is an avid reader and likes spending time outdoors and with her family and two dogs.

Andrea: Administrative Assistant

Andrea graduated from Vidalia High School and Southeastern Technical College in Georgia, where she earned her degree in Accounting. She has worked at Highland Pediatric for 1 year and enjoys being able to help make sure the patients and their parents are happy. Andrea likes to go to the beach and spend time with her family.

Blair: Dental Assistant/Dental Hygiene Assistant

Blair graduated from Southview High School in Fayetteville, NC and received her certifications in Coronal Polishing and X-Ray from Fayetteville Technical Community College. She has worked with Highland Pediatric for 8 years and loves working with children and hearing their funny stories. She volunteers with the children's ministry at her church and enjoys scrapbooking, playing drums, and spending time with her family.

Miriam: Administrative Assistant

Miriam graduated from Gaston Faraudo P., and earned her credentials at Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC. She has been with Highland Pediatric for 1 year and enjoys interacting with the patients and their parents to ensure they receive the best in compassionate patient care. Miriam likes spending time with her family, listening to music, and shopping.

Suzie: Certified Dental Assistant

Suzie graduated from Douglas Byrd High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC. She has spent her 24-year career working at Highland Pediatric and loves working with children and watching the patients grow up. She volunteers as a youth advisor at her church and enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Michelle: Certified Dental Assistant

Michelle graduated from Commodore Perry High School and attended Thiel College in Pennsylvania where she earned her certificate in Dental Assisting. She has 12 years of experience and has worked for Highland Pediatric for 9 years. Michelle enjoys teaching the patients about dental health, as well as spending time with her family and friends.
